Arts & Humanities Building
Potential funding for this project is in 2009/10 for plans and working drawings. This facility is currently 33,108 square feet and would be increased to 67,000 square feet. The first step is to hire an environmental engineer to begin the CEQA process. Because there is an existing building we expect the mitigations to be minimal but we recognize that this location is adjacent to the City and downtown businesses that will be affected by this process. The existing building and modular building (Taylor Hall and Yuba II) will be removed. A portion of the modular buildings may be moved to another location to house the University Police Department and University Public Events, but all options are still being explored.
