Transportation Demand Management Plan
The University has contracted with a transportation consultant, Fehr & Peers, to provide a Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Plan.
The goals and objectives of this plan are to
- Increase alternative modes of transportation.
- Promote walking, biking, and public transit as convenient and practical means for campus trips.
- Address campus transportation impacts in adjacent neighborhoods.
- Facilitate a coordinated transportation approach with the City of Chico, specifically downtown.
- Support campus sustainability practices.
A key component to the success of this plan is to invite interested parties from the campus, city, and community to be part of the process. The process will include stakeholder interviews and two public forum meetings.
Public Forum Meetings
The first public forum meeting was held October 22, 2008. The presentation and posters from the first meeting are provided below.
Update: The second public forum meeting has been postponed until late February to allow additional time for public input. The second public forum meeting will introduce the draft TDM.
