The German at CSU, Chico Listserv is open to university students, staff, and faculty, prospective students, graduates, and anyone in the Chico community possessing an interest in the German language and German-speaking cultures.  To subscribe, all you need is an e-mail address.
 

What is it and what are the benefits of subscribing?

A Listserv is an electronic community of people (subscribers) who exchange information and ideas with others in the 'community' via a single e-mail address.  All subscribers receive the messages that you as a subscriber post to the list, and you will receive others’ postings.  You have lots to gain and nothing to lose--it's absolutely free!

Receive up-to-date information about study abroad and employment opportunities, seminars and summer institutes.
Receive announcements of German-related events in and around Chico.
Learn about current events affecting German-speaking Europe.
Participate actively in online discussions on cultural and other topics of interest.
Ask questions relating to homework assignments and grammar dilemmas.
Receive notification of new and useful online links which can enhance your German experience.
Share your knowledge and experiences with your peers.  The list gives you instant contact to a number of people in Chico who share your interest in German.

How can you subscribe?

Follow these steps:

Send an e-mail message to:   listproc@galaxy.csuchico.edu
In the body of the message, write:   SUBSCRIBE GERMAN firstname lastname
(Replace the parameters ‘firstname’ and ‘lastname’ with your own name)
After you subscribe, you will receive a message requesting confirmation of your subscription.   Simply use the reply command on your e-mail software and place the confirmation cookie code in the subject heading or body of your e-mail. (Instructions are also included in the confirmation request you receive.)
After sending your subscription confirmation, you will receive another message verifying that your subscription has been successful and containing information about using the list.

Now you may post messages to the list.
