Professor Kristyna Demaree

Kristyna Demaree finished her Ph.D. at The University of Colorado in 1972.  She has done extensive work with the Pacific Coast Council on Latin American Studies, recently co-chairing the international organization and planning the 2001 conference at the Colegio de la Frontera Norte.  Dr. Demaree currently divides her time between  teaching courses such as Hispanic Folk literature and children's literature, supervising the Directed Field Experience in Spanish class, and working with Latin American Studies and International Programs.  She has been instrumental in the continuing success of the Immersion Programs in Mexico, taking students to Colima and/or Merida each year.
