    I was born and raised in Baja, Mexico until the age of 17.

    I graduated from Fortuna Union High School at 18.
    BA in Spanish from CSU, Chico in 1999.
    I am a member of the Latino Youth Leadership Conference Board of organizers.
    I serve as mentor and advisor to M.E.Ch.A.
    and am currently also teaching at Butte College.
    I have 8 yrs. of experience working in public schools.
