- When filling out the Facility and Equipment Reservation form, please include on the form your equipment needs as well as the "required" items needed for barbecuing. See the attachment for each approved location and the required items of equipment that you will need to provide a safe barbecue. Additionally, please review the Administrative Policy #A25. The completed forms are then delivered to Facility Reservations in Sierra Hall or sent to zip 116 to be received 10 working days in advance of the event. - Facilities Reservations will then check to assure the required approvals where obtained. After both forms are approved by Facility Reservations, they will be forwarded to Facilities Management for final approval.
APPROVED OUTDOOR COOKING LOCATIONS AND REQUIRED EQUIPMENT NEEDS
On the Facility/Equipment Reservation form you can request to have Facilities Mgmt. deliver the garbage can for charcoal disposal directly to the approved location along with your other equipment needs. The requesting group must check out a hose and water quill from Facilities Management's Central Supply, located at 940 West First Street. Please check out the appropriate hose length and quill size as indicated on the list on the next page or fire extinguisher if using propane grill. The group would then be required to return the hose and water quill directly to Central Supply either that day or the following morning. Please make note that Central Supply will not check anything out after 3:45 p.m., Monday through Friday. Their hours are 7:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. during the academic school year. Summer hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. and Friday, 6:00 a.m. through 10:00 a.m. Refer to the map at Facility Reservations or Student Activities for the
approved outdoor cooking locations on campus. #2- Nettleton, picnic area on outfield, 3rd base side - Tables on-site, trashcans on-site, hose bib and one length of hose on-site. #3 - University Stadium, N.W. cement area, (pending installation of water source) -Water source will be located on the N.E. wall of area under the bleachers - star key, and one hose length #4 - University Stadium, N.E., cement area - hose bib located at the North end of the East bleachers and on the concrete concession slab - need 1 length of hose for hose bib - restrooms nearby at the East Side of bleachers - electricity available. #5 - Gym/Yolo, across driveway from the Athletic equipment issue room
- place the barbecue on the corner of the sidewalk, north side, slightly
away from the curb to keep away from overhead tree branches. Hose bib
located on the side of the gym building by issue room loading platform
deck. One hose length needed. #7 - Plumas - S.E. corner. Position BBQ on the dirt cut-across path, south side of the sidewalk up against the sidewalk that runs East/West on the South side of Plumas. Water source is in the ground, in the flowerbed, under the ivy, on the S.E. flowerbed located on the mall. Have them sign out a ¾" quill and one length of hose which should be coiled up in the flowerbed. #8 - Glenn Hall, North, West of Continuing Education, sidewalk area (where it widens by the dumpster) -water hose bib located on the north side of Glenn Hall, West of door - will need a 4 sided water key and 2 to 3 lengths of hose, which should be left coiled on location until needed. #9 - Alumni Glen - BBQ pit on-site - 2 benches - 2 trashcans - electricity.
Quick coupler north of path directly across from BBQ pit or by the light
pole. #10 - Ayres West, North side of Laxson (wide section of concrete). Water source on West side of Ayres bldg., left of door under window by controller box. One hose length and a 4-sided diamond water key needed. #11 - Kendall Flagpole, on 1st Street (up against north curb), area right in front of the flag pole. Quick coupler located in the lawn, on the N.W. corner of the metal box in the lawn. ¾ inch quick-coupler and 1 hose length. #12 - Free Speech Area, sidewalk area - quick coupler located at S.E. corner of Free Speech lawn - will need ¾" quill and 1 or 2 lengths of hose. #13 - O'Connell, N.E. side in the curved area of the sidewalk, just north of the flowerbed, 1 hose length needed or on the concrete walkway just to the east of that location on the north side of the widest part of the walkway, 2 hose lengths needed. 4-sided diamond water key will open the box on the N.E. side of the building. #14 - Langdon/O'Connell - West of O'Connell and north of Langdon - north end of tunnel, on the concrete that runs east and west. One hose length needed. Quick coupler is in the ground under a lid. Will need a ¾" quill to operate the water. #15 - Langdon loading dock area, on concrete against the west flower bed - approved only for small barbecue units. One length of hose and one ¾" quill.
