Motor Vehicle Use Procedures

If your department owns a State vehicle, the department will have a designated employee who manages the forms listed below.  Pursuant to Chancellor's Office Policy and CSU, Chico Executive Order 691 procedures, each department that has and uses a State-owned vehicle(s) in the conduct of State business must annually complete and keep on file the following forms:

A) State Owned Vehicle Maintenance Requirements

It is the departments responsiblity that all state-owned vehicles must have maintenance, service, and inspections.

B) If You Are Using a Privately-Owned Vehicle (Personal)

CSU, Chico policy requires that each employee who drives a privately-owned vehicle to conduct official University or State business, must be authorized to use such vehicle and complete certification on an annual basis. This form is to be maintained by the department.
