FAST TRACK

Facilities Management and Services has developed a FAST TRACK process to expedite smaller projects that involve only one trade group. Facilities Management and Services determines if a project is eligible for FAST TRACK and initiates the process. FMS can begin work once the requester has signed the FAST TRACK Form and an account number is identified. The requester can provide a CAF for the amount indicated on the FAST TRACK Form at the same time the form is signed, or sends the CAF in the mail later.

Projects are eligible for FAST TRACK when all of the following criteria are met:

• Facilities Management must recover costs for performing the work (FMS must be reimbursed for non-maintenance work)
• the work does not impact a change in the use of the space
• the work does not require agency approvals (i.e.. Fire Marshal or Office of the State Architect - access compliance)
• the work does not require committee review
• the work does not impact hazardous materials
• the work can be performed for a cost estimate of less than $2,000

• the date
• a workorder #
• the name of the FMS Manager/Supervisor responsible for the project
• a brief description of the work
• a not to exceed estimate of $500, $1,000, or $2,000
• an estimate of the timeline for completion of the work
• a line for the requester's signature
• a line for the account number that will be used to complete the work
