Labs/Classroom Cleaning
Daily Cleaning in Labs/Classrooms
- Empty trash receptacles and replace plastic liners that are torn or obviously soiled
- Dust mop and sweep non-carpet floors completely
- Clean aisles and seating areas
- Replace light bulbs as needed
- Clean chalk board trays as needed
- FMS does not clean chalkboards or whiteboards. FMS does not provide towels for departmental or lab use
- Spot clean floors as needed
- Spot vacuum carpet as needed
- Empty pencil sharpeners as needed
Weekly Cleaning in Labs/Classrooms
- Wet mop classroom completely
- Spot clean inside/outside of trash receptacles
- Vacuum entire carpeted classroom completely
- Remove carpet stains
- Wipe down desks, chairs, and tables
- Damp wipe and disinfect contact surfaces such as push plates, door handles, and hand rails
Annual Cleaning in Labs/Classrooms (majority of work done during summer months)
- All hard surface floors are stripped and waxed
- Carpets are shampooed using Hot Water Extraction (HWE) Method
