I come from the great Butte County town of Gridley and attended Butte College where I met my best friend and husband, Jeffrey. I transferred to Chico State in 1996, where I was an EOP student as well as a student worker with EOP admissions. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in social work in 1998 and have spent the last 18 years working with various populations in the social service field. I recently obtained my master’s in social work and I’m thrilled to continue my work here at Chico State to support foster youth alumni through their college experience! In my free time, I love to spend time with family, travel, and shop for unique finds at thrift stores. I enjoy meeting new people, so stop by and say hello!

I am a second year student at Chico State, and currently majoring in concrete industry management. I am from Oakland, California. I love listening to music, and spending quality time with my friends and family. My background as a PATH Scholar student is being in guardianship. Throughout all the struggles I have faced, I have remained humble, caring, inspired, and eager to grow as an individual. I love to get involved on campus, and encourages others to do the same. In working for PATH Scholars, I have been able to get more involved and help the program grow by being the program assistant.

I was born in Fresno, California where I spent most of my childhood. I moved to Modesto, California where I spent my teenage years. I came to Chico State as a first-time freshman in fall of 2014. My top dream one day is to be extremely wealthy. With that being said, I am so excited to be graduating with a BS in recreation administration: resort and lodging management in spring 2018. I currently hold two jobs while going to school. One is for Butte County Office of Education, working for Champion Scholars as a college mentor, where we serve current foster youth in high school. My other job is working for PATH Scholars, as peer coach to current and former foster youth in college. In my free time, I like to spend time with friends doing random/fun things. I also like buying the newest shoes. I love to talk about how the Oakland Raiders are going to win the Super Bowl this year so if you agree with me, pop in and spark up a conversation!

Hello! I was born and raised in the Bay Area, where I grew up with my seven sisters and one brother. I moved to Chico State my freshman year fall 2012, where I received my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. I am currently working on my master’s degree in social work and I am an intern/peer coach for PATH Scholars. I also work for Butte County Office of Education-Champion Scholars Mentor Program, where I previously mentored high school foster youth. I am currently an assistant to the program coordinator and college mentors. I am extremely grateful to be part of the PATH Scholars team; I’ve met the most amazing people in this program. This has been my greatest support system getting through college. I highly recommend students to get involved and utilize their resources on campus. My passion is helping students reach their full potential and goals in life. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, watch movies, dance, and travel.
