The University Foundation

LOGO: University Foundation

The University Foundation, California State University, Chico, was organized and incorporated as a nonprofit California corporation in 1940 to support and enhance campus projects and programs for which state funding is insufficient or not available.

In 1997, the University Foundation’s function became solely philanthropic and as such administers bequests, charitable trusts, special gifts, charitable gift annuities, scholarships, endowments, and donor-advised funds. The University Foundation administers the University’s gift and endowment programs.

Responsibility for the governance of the University Foundation is vested in its Board of Governors, which includes community members, senior campus administrators, a faculty member, and a student.
