As a first generation college student, Dr. Kaiser attended Florida State University where she received a BA in Social Science. She then received her MA and Ph.D. degrees from Duke University in sociology.

Dr. Kaiser has served the CSUC campus since 1972 in a variety of roles: Interim Associate Dean, chair of the Department of Sociology, Director of the Applied Sociology Internship Program, academic senator, and an assistant coach for CSUC women's track and field and cross-country teams--during this period she was a nationally ranked marathoner and tri-athlete.

Beginning in 1991, Dr. Kaiser served in the Academic Senate for the California State University system. While there she served in many leadership positions including: Chair of General Education Advisory Committee, Vice Chair of Academic Affairs, and as an At Large Senate Executive member.

Dr. Kaiser has been nominated for the Pacific Sociological Association Distinguished Contributions to Teaching Award, made an Honorary Faculty member of Phi Kappa Phi, invited to participate in the Oxford Round Table, and to participate in the Conference on General Education at the State University of New York.

Our congratulation to Dr. Kaiser on her outstanding achievement.
