1.  Minutes approved 12/13/07

2.  Agenda:  Trechter made a caveat moving 9 before 8

3.  Announcements:  Alexander announced this is Green Week more info in BMU 301

4.  Change to EM 99-05: Cultural Diversity Requirement
Crotts took over chair for Sara Trechter. Brady brought forward edited item.
Wyrick moved/Trechter seconded amendment to A1 to broaden topics offered under this rubric:

“focuses on and contextualizes the experiences of one or more U.S. ethnic groups found in the U.S. that are distinct...  Amendment passed, 2 abstentions

Trechter moved/Lillibridge seconded an amendment to first paragraph:
“...single six-unit courses that meet all criteria are encouraged acceptable.”
Amendment passed unanimously.

Ryder Fox moved/Trechter seconded to amend C:
“...after completing the diversity courses, will understand have knowledge of
Sara Trechter 2nd, passed unanimously

Edelmann moved/Trechter seconded an amendment to B2; amendment was  withdrawn by Edelmann.

Trechter moved/Wyrick seconded change to C3: “class, race, ethnicity, and or gender,” passed, 1 abstention.

5.  Reorganization: Modern Jewish and Israel Studies (BA and Minor)—Edelmann (M)/Sudduth (S)  Zimbelman introduced item. Passed unanimously as an introduction item.

6.  Change to EM 05-04: Repeat Policy for students starting graduate Program anew.—Crotts (M)/Way (S).  Morlock introduced item. Passed unamimously as an introduction item.

7.  Change to EM 99-03: Writing Proficiency Course Criteria—Lillibridge (M)/Edelmann (S) Mark Hall introduced item. Units required changed to 3-4.  Passed unanimously as an introduction item.

8. New Certificate in Enterprise Information Systems –Crotts (M)/Berry (S). Raymond Boykin introduced, passed unanimously as introduction item.

9.  Potential Prerequisite Policy—Discussion item.  Does EPPC want to get involved with prequisites.  Suggested Bill Post be invited to speak to EPPC about PeopleSoft.  No action was taken.
