Class Field Trips Summer 2013

Summer field trips begin Thursday, June 6, 2013 and run through Friday, August 22, 2013.  Field trips are only available on Thursdays and Fridays from 10:30am to 11:50am. There is room for 2 classes each day.

Secrets of Circles: Circles are pretty amazing shapes.  If you look around, you’ll see that they are everywhere: the wheels of a car, the clock on the wall, the tortillas on your table, and the Frisbees, tops and balls you play with.  This highly interactive exhibition from the Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose features 18 trilingual (English, Spanish and Vietnamese) exhibits designed to inspire visitors to ask questions and investigate the answers as they explore the math, science, and engineering of circles. Teacher guides for second grade and for K-3rd are available.

OPEN FIELD TRIPS:  The museum is open exclusively for class visits of all grades. Docents will provide a brief introduction to the museum and then will be available to answer any questions, allowing for free discovery and inquiry.
