SPECIAL EVENT: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
July 31, 2016 from noon to 5pm
Join us as we celebrate the release of the newest Harry Potter book, Harry Potter & the Cursed Child Parts I and II, with fun wizarding science activities. Investigate exploding polyjuice potions, discover dry ice divinations and explore herbology in the Gateway Gardens.
Pre-sale of the book is available now at the CSUC bookstore. Pick up will be available at Gateway gift shop on July 31, 2016 from noon to 5pm. Books will also be available for purchase at Gateway gift shop July 31, 2016, while supplies last.
Birdhouse Building Workshop-POSTPONED
This workshop has been postponed until later in the summer season. Date to be determined.
Welcome native songbirds into your landscape or home garden! Gateway will host a family-friendly workshp on the building of birdhouses for attracting and supporting two of our favorite songbirds: Western Bluebirds and common House Wrens. Workshop will include museum entry, educational presentations on the life cycles and nesting patterns of these birds as well as the choosing and building of one birdhouse design. Children under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult. Children ages 16-18 may participate individually with the signed consent of a parent/guardian. A single "participant" may include 1 adult and 1 child building one birdhouse together.
Price per birdhouse: Members $10 / Non-members $20 (cash or check due at time of registration)
Saturday Investigation Station Activities
Most Saturdays during exhibit seasons, Gateway hosts a drop-in activity in the Investigation Station between 1:00pm and 3:00pm. Click on the calendar link above to see what activity is happening. All activities are included with paid admission and are subject to change.

Museum Without Walls (MWOW)
Gateway presents the MWOW in April and October on Wednesday evenings. Presentations begin at 7:30pm at the Gateway Science Museum.
Entrance fee is $3 per person. Students are free with valid student ID card. Museum members are free with valid membership card. Parking in the Gateway lot requires a parking permit. Permits are $1 per hour and can be purchased at the kiosk near the museum entrance using coin, cash or credit. For additional parking options, click here.
