Amy Lippus Wins Again!

Geography and Planning student Amy Lippus excels as a cartographer. Her interactive Flash based web map, "A California Tragedy: The Shocking Story of the Donner-Reed Party," won the David Woodward Award for Best Electronic Map in the 40th Annual Cartography and Geographic Information Society (CaGIS) Map Competition.

.  A copy of her map product has been sent to the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. for cataloging in the National Archives. Amy also won first place for this same map at the North American Cartographic Information Society(NACIS) annual meeting in Portland, Oregon in 2012. The Department of Geography and Planning would like to congratulate Amy on her achievement, marking the 21st map competition win for Chico State cartography students since 2003!
