2008 62nd Annual CGS Conference a Record Breaking Success!

With a turnout of close to 350 participants, this years annual California Geograpical Society conference was a hit. Students and geographers from throughout California traveled to Chico for the conference.

Congratulations go out to Janna Waligorski (first place), Mike Commons (second place) and Sylvana Cares (third place) for their winning maps. Mike Commons also won the prestigious Geosystems Award. Pam Figge was awarded the CGS Friend of Geography Award. Again we congratulate winners, as well as thank all participants and student volunteers for attending, and making this years conference such a success!
