Attention: Research Opportunity


Graduate Research Assistantship in Atmospheric Lidar and Microscale Meteorology at California State University, Chico. The opportunity is funded by the National Science Foundation’s Physical and Dynamic Meteorology Program under Award 0924407. The GRA will provide tuition reimbursement and $1000 per month stipend. As a condition for the appointment, the individual must be enrolled in one of the following master’s programs: Environmental Science, Geoscience, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Interdisciplinary Studies. Graduate Research and Conference Presentation Funding Enhancing Pre-Doctoral Scholars Program Applications


Graduate International and Interdisciplinary Studies seeks applications for small research grants to enhance the Pre-Doctoral Program Applications. Current graduate students may apply for $300 to $1000 to be used to for the purpose of conference presentation travel, research (e.g. travel to libraries, purchase of equipment). Funds must be used in the period from Spring 2010-Fall 2010. Application Process:

• Submit a 2-page justification for your research project stating how the funds will enhance your research for a project or thesis, and specifically how they will be spent.

• State the intent to apply for the Pre-Doctoral Program in Spring 2010 or Spring 2011:

• Include a brief letter of support for your research project from your graduate advisor.

• Review of applications will begin on February 1, 2010 and continue until funds are exhausted.
