Welcome to the Graduate School (GS)


Graduate education is an integral and vital component of the university community and prepares highly qualified professionals to serve in the Northern California, as well as the nation and internationally. The Graduate School provides services for over 30 master’s degree programs. The Graduate School supports campus academic departments by:


  • Processing applications
  • Awarding master's degrees
  • Providing services to students from application through graduation
  • Coordinating the annual master's degree commencement ceremony
  • Assisting with thesis preparation

Master's Program Spotlight

The Master of Arts in Teaching International Languages is one of many Master's Programs offered at Chico State. The program fosters the study of languages as an integral part of a world-class education in a global society. It is designed to promote the development of professionals to teach foreign languages and English to speakers of other languages. The primary goal is to enable students from all nations to fully participate in the multicultural, interdependent communities of the 21st century. This program is a 36-unit program for graduate students interested in the effective teaching and learning of international languages.

attend the Fall orientation on
Friday, August 22, 2008 at 1:00 pm
in Ayres 120.


Commencement

May 23, 2008 will be the Master's Degree commencement ceremony in Laxson Auditorium, starting at 7 p.m.
