Registration and Advising


Advising


Advising is required in most programs.


  1. Master's students contact the Graduate Coordinator for your department.
  2. Credential students contact the Credentials Office (530-898-6391).
  3. Other post baccalaureate students contact the Graduate School (530-898-6880).

Registration


Once you have been admitted you will be sent instructions on how to establish your Chico State Connection (CSC) web-based portal account. You will not be able to register for classes unless you obtain access through your portal. To activate your Chico State Portal account please:


Log on to: http://directory.csuchico.edu/account.init.new/and follow the steps on the screen to activate your account.


If you are new to CSU, Chico or do not have your WildcatCard number, you must request your WildcatCard number be e-mailed to you (provided you previously gave the University a valid e-mail address upon application). Use the web page at http://cypress.csuchico.edu/wildcat/index.asp to submit your request or call 530-898-4357.


Once you have been admitted to the Graduate School you must submit your Intent-to-Enroll Decision.


  1. Log into your Portal account
  2. Click on the "Records, Registration, & Finances" tab
  3. Click on the "Accept/Decline Admissions" link under the Admissions heading

Consult the Class Schedule for available classes and information. For independent study or master's thesis/project registration contact your Department.


Summer Sessions and Extension registration is provided by the Center for Regional and Continuing Education (530-898-6105).


Continuous Enrollment

Students pursuing a master's degree who are not regularly enrolled must register for GRST 899 through the Center for Regional and Continuing Education (530-898-6105) or go to Special Session. For additional details please see the Continuous Enrollment Policy .
