Mission Statement:

Meeting Date: March 14, 2008

Old Business:

International reception:

  • The group thought the reception was a success, and we considered ideas for future receptions
  • We also considered changes we could make to the reception format, particularly changes that could increase attendance such as having a 5 or 10 minute presentation on a different topic each time.

New Business:

Internationalization website/information portal:

  • Katherine reported that we have the go ahead to design a new international information website/portal separate from the GIIS website.
  • The group will be working with the campus web designers to build the site.
  • The group selected templates for the site's homepage and pages one click deep. We selected homepage template number 3 and one-click-deep template 4.
  • We discussed options for coming up with a website name and logo, particularly naming and logo designing contests.
  • Aaron agreed to look for existing examples of global information websites we can use for design ideas.
  • Troy and Kaitlyn began working on a plan for branding the website.
  • We agreed to have a discussion about what content we want on this website, and, with that in mind, how to organize it. Katherine agreed to send her list of existing content to the group for consideration.
