Giving to Chico State

Scholarship Giving

Giving to scholarships allows you to directly impact a student’s life. As the cost of public education continues to rise, more than two-thirds of our students rely on some sort of financial support, but donors like you can help!

In addition to reducing a student’s financial burden, scholarships are a great way to recognize a student’s academic commitment and excellence in leadership.

Give to an existing scholarship

You can give to an existing scholarship using our online giving form. Simply click "Search areas to support" and enter "scholarship" in the search bar. Your gift will be combined with other donors’ to provide an even larger scholarship.

If you have a specific scholarship in mind, please contact the scholarship and donor relations office by calling 530-898-4796 or emailing donorrelations@csuchico.edu.

Establish a new annual scholarship

With a minimum gift of $1,500, you can create a named scholarship that may be renewed each year with an annual gift. This is a wonderful way to memorialize or honor a family member or friend.

Establish a new endowed scholarship

With a minimum gift of $25,000, you can create a permanent scholarship fund. A portion of the endowment earnings are used to fund the scholarship award each year. Endowed scholarships may be established with an outright gift of cash or appreciated stocks; through a multi-year pledge (typically given over three to five years to reach the desired level); or in a charitable bequest.
