Old Business

  • 1st Street Corridor Request to include visual representation of CSU, Chico’s commitment to diversity (with murals, flags, multilingual signage, etc.) sent with 80+ signatures to facilities planning committee. No response yet.
  • Survey of U.S. Students regarding attitudes towards Internationalization being conducted by Dr. Chunyan Song, Sociology in Spring 2008.

New Business

  • Task Group Mission Statements: Task groups are requested to develop mission statements to be posted on the website, if they haven’t already.
  • Mission Statement for Campus Internationalization Initiative: A proposed mission statement was shared by Katherine and discussed. It will be circulated to steering committee members by email for further feedback.
  • Mission Statement for Campus Internationalization Steering Committee: A proposed mission statement was shared by Katherine and discussed. It will be circulated to steering committee members by email for further feedback.
  • Recommendations for Assessment and Monitoring from Institutional Research: Start early with creating a monitoring and assessment plan. Have goals and objectives that are defined and measurable.
  • The CELT Conference: Task groups are encouraged to develop proposals for sessions to be presented at CELT.
