The framework adopted by the CSU Graduation Initiative very much relies on the use and analysis of data to gain insights and inform interventions and changes in practices and policies.  Using data for decision making goes beyond traditional university-wide retention and graduation rates and moves towards leading indicators of program impact, milestones with on-track indicators and graduation initiative targets.  These data are disaggregated so that they may serve as a foundation for early warning systems and students monitoring systems.
