The Interdisciplinary Studies graduate program conducts rigorous annual assessment of the following: mission statement; program goals and objectives; student learning outcomes; and a time plan for the assessment of student learning outcomes enhanced by frequent contact with the IDST student from the Graduate Coordinator. Completion and final approval of a thesis, project, comprehensive examination, or other culminating activity as specified by the graduate advisory committee. The quality and rigor of each Interdisciplinary Studies MA/MS degree granted undergoes rigorous assessment as follows:

  • Completion and final approval of a thesis, project, comprehensive examination, or other culminating activity as specified by the graduate advisory committee.
  • Satisfactory completion of a comprehensive final examination (written or oral) in the field of study. Approval by the graduate advisory committee and the Graduate Council on behalf of the faculty of the University.
