California State University, Chico provides merit and scholarship awards to deserving students for graduate studies and many go unfilled. Each year the number and size of these awards vary according to annual endowment earnings, contributions to scholarship funds, and applicant qualifications.
Students must complete a single online application to be considered for all university scholarships. In addition, some program scholarships have additional application requirements. The CSU, Chico online scholarship application is due in fall of each year for the next academic year. Complete information is available at www.csuchico.edu/fa/typesOfAid/scholarships/types/csuChico.shtml. The deadline for applications is typically mid-December.

Graduate students are encouraged to apply for research, travel, and study grants to support graduate level research. Each month, the Graduate School sends monthly graduate student announcements to all enrolled students. These announcements include a section on grant opportunities. Students are also encouraged to take advantage of CSU, Chico's online grant resource center.
