Chico-China Graduate Scholarship

Qualified applicants from the People's Republic of China may be eligible to receive the Chico-China Graduate Scholarship to pursue a master’s degree at California State University, Chico. The Scholarship includes a per-semester stipend, a non-resident tuition waiver, a registration fee waiver, and the possibility of a departmental Graduate Assistantship. Please read the Scholarship requirements below:

  • Undergraduate GPA: 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • TOEFL: minimum score of 600 paper-based; 250 computer-based; 100 internet-based or IELTS 7.0
  • GRE: submission of GRE scores is required; each program has a different GRE score requirement
Applicants to the following master's programs are eligible:
  • Biological Sciences
  • Communication Studies
  • Electrical Engineering
  • English
  • Environmental Science
  • Geography and Planning
  • Geosciences
  • History
  • Nutritional Science
Graduates from the following institutions are eligible:
  • Beijing Normal University
  • Chongqing University
  • Fudan University
  • Jilin University
  • Nanchang University
  • Nanjing University
  • Nankai University
  • Xiamen University
  • Xian Jiaotong University
  • Zhejiang University
Additional Conditions:
  • Applicants must not be older than 25 years old at the time of application
  • Graduates who have studied overseas are not eligible
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have no more than one semester of graduate work
  • Applicants with graduate degrees shall not be eligible for the same academic disciplines

The selected candidate will have two weeks from receipt of admission letter to notify CSU, Chico of his/her acceptance of the Scholarship.
