Alpha Gamma Delta is currently comprised of 100 amazing young women who all share similar ideals, standards and purpose. AGD is always busy with philanthropies, sisterhoods, socials, and more. Girls look forward to bonding at our biweekly sisterhoods, which are usually movie nights, barbecues at Bidwell, manicure’s and pedicures, or even a Thanksgiving potluck. We have overnight sisterhood retreats as well. In Spring 2011, we all went to Lake Almanor and went tubing, wake-boarding and water-skiing; some girls stayed after and camped for a night. This semester we stayed in cabins near Lake Shasta where we swam, kayaked, canoe and barbecued. 

AGD’s philanthropy is the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation, which supports diabetes research.  Last semester we held a car wash at our house, which raised over $1,600. In September we will host our “Walking with a Purpose” 5K walk through Bidwell Park. AGD also gives back to the Chico community by participating in Bidwell clean-ups, Habitat for Humanity, volunteering at the Butte Humane Society and more. 

Our members strive to promote academic excellence, philanthropic giving and a spirit of loving sisterhood.  In Alpha Gamma Delta, our sisters gain not only lifelong bonds of friendship and sisterhood, but also fantastic and fun college memories.
