About Our Funders
Green Campus is funded and supported by the Washington, D.C.-based Alliance to Save Energy and by California ratepayers under the auspices of Pacific Gas & Electric and the University of California, California State University, Investor-Owned Utility Energy Efficiency (UC/CSU/IOU EE) Partnership.
About Alliance to Save Energy
Alliance is a nonprofit coalition of prominent business, government, environmental, and consumer leaders. These leaders promote the efficient and clean use of energy worldwide to benefit consumers, the environment, economy, and national security. Southern California Edison, PG&E and Sempra Energy are all companies under the umbrella of Alliance and contribute to funding Green Campus.
Alliance's Green Campus Program works toward campus sustainability by encouraging students to lower institutional energy costs. Through Green Campus, students are working to save energy on campuses by building general campus awareness and incorporating energy conservation and efficiency into course curricula. Green Campus also focuses on the implementation of projects targeting energy use, student purchasing decisions and operational changes.
