Shannon York is a Chico State student from Redding. She is planning to graduate in spring 2009 with a bachelor's degree in journalism with a public relations option and a minor in environmental studies. Since May 2007 she has worked part-time as a project coordinator, public relations director and treasurer for Chico Green Campus. She planned and implemented projects including the "Turn off the Lights, Open the Blinds" Faculty Challenge and the Journalism 344 Public Relations Project. Aside from Green Campus, Shannon has founded Chico for Animal Rights (C-FAR), a campus animal rights club, and volunteers at Butte Humane Society and Farm Sanctuary. In the future Shannon hopes to work for an animal rights, animal welfare or environmental nonprofit organization in the Seattle, Washington or Portland, Oregon area.

Originally from Cairo, Egypt, Mahmoud is a graduate student in electrical engineering. He has been and intern with Green Campus since spring 2008 and was hired on as a staff member in January 2009. He likes the environment and helping people continue to use environmental resources in a wise manner. He is interested in implementing green projects to encourage better energy efficiency on our campus. During the spring 2009 semester Mahmoud will be the lead of Green Campus’ vending miser project and is looking forward to implementing many more energy-related projects on the Chico State campus.

Haley Gilmore came to Chico from Huntington Beach, CA. She plans to graduate in spring 2010 with a bachelor's degree in business administration with an option in accounting and a minor in managing for sustainability. When she graduates, Haley will be a Chico State College of Business certified Ethics Scholar. Her passion for ethics in the corporate workplace led her to get involved with sustainability efforts on campus. This is Haley's second semester with Green Campus and she now serves as its treasurer and secretary. Last semester Haley worked as an intern coordinator for the Sustainability House and will continue working with the House this semester as well as coordinate a Take the Stairs Day and an energy competition for Whitney Hall, Chico State’s largest residence hall.

Jacquelyn Mercure is a Chico State student from Orange County. She is planning on graduating in fall 2011 with a major in business with an option in accounting and a minor in business and sustainability. In fall 2008 She worked as the residential life educational coordinator for Green Campus and was involved with the energy competition between the Shasta and Lassen dorms. In the future she plans to continue working with Green Campus by becoming more involved with energy auditing while continuing to offer support for other projects.
Mark Stemen: Faculty Advisor

Dr. Mark Stemen is the coordinator of the Environmental Studies program at California State University Chico. Mark Stemen, professor of Geography and Planning, was named Sustainability Champion at the Seventh Annual UC/CSU/CCC Sustainability Conference held at the beginning of August. Stemen is well known on campus for his inspiring and tireless work with students and with the community on issues of sustainability.
Bret Bosma: Faculty and Staff Advisor

Bret Bosma is faculty and staff at CSU, Chico. He graduated in spring 2008 with a master's degree in electrical and computer engineering. Bret has worked for Chico Green Campus as a project coordinator since fall 2006. He first got involved with Green Campus when working on a solar project for a class. Bret has planned and implemented the Power Management Software in most computer labs around campus, planned and implemented metering for residence halls on campus, and is the Green Campus Web master.
