The German Studies Club at Chico State offers students an opportunity
to organize and engage in German-related extracurricular activities and
to meet and spend time with other students who share this interest.
The club arranges picnics, excursions, film nights, celebrations of important
cultural and historical events in German-speaking cultures, and local events
that raise an awareness of German issues. Each year during Fall Semester,
the club plays a central role in the organization of the annual German
Day, which draws hundreds of high school students of German to Chico State.
The German faculty also actively participate in club activities and help
instill a sense of community among its members.
