Is GST an Honors Program?

Yes, GST is one of three components of the Honors in General Education Program. All students enrolled in GST are in the GE Honors Program. However, as entering freshman to be considered for residence in the Honors House, students must have either 1200 on their SATs or a 3.5 GPA. To continue in the Honors Program after the GST year, students must earn at least a 3.3 GPA while in GST. Such students can complete the Honors Program by taking Honors sections of the few courses still required for graduation after GST.
