Jeanne Freeman earned her Ph.D. in Health
Sciences from the University of Arkansas. She also holds a M.S. in Nutrition
from the University of Nevada, Reno and is CHES certified.
Dr. Freeman is an assistant professor in the Department of Health and Community Services at CSU Chico. She teaches courses in Community Health, Personal Health, Drugs in Our Society, and Educational Methods. Her research interests include osteoporosis prevention among young men and women as well as the impact of media on health choices. Dr. Freeman is passionate about her students and encourages communication for growth of both the student and herself. In her personal life she enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor activities, cooking new dishes, and reading medical mystery novels.
