Dr. Mike Mann arrived at Chico State in the fall of 2007. He received his bachelor’s degree in Community Health Education, his master’s degree in School Health Education, and his doctoral degree in Health and Human Performance. All of Mike’s studies emphasized adolescent health and youth development and all of his degrees were earned at the University of Florida.
Between his bachelors’ and graduate degrees, Mike accumulated a wide variety of work experiences. He worked in schools for at-risk youth as a teacher, principal, and principal. He served a national youth organization in a variety executive positions. And while completing his graduate work, Mike founded a nonprofit organization focused on promoting the health and well-being of abused and neglected girls. His expertise is adolescent health, particularly at-risk teens and program planning and evaluation.
