Cris Navarro

Ana-Cristina (Cris) Navarro, a Certified Healthcare Compliance (CHC) executive, is the Chief Compliance Officer for Shasta Community Health Center, a federally qualified health center (FQHC) providing comprehensive and collaborative primary and dental care to the underserved in Northern California. Prior to moving into the FQHC world, Cris held hospital compliance leadership positions at Enloe Medical Center, Sutter Health and Adventist and Rideout Health in Northern California. In addition to healthcare compliance, Cris developed and led a centralized comprehensive compliance program for Butte County and its 23 diverse departments. Prior to working in Compliance, Cris worked as an attorney in Florida and Connecticut, including the Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, specializing in the United States Sentencing Guidelines (U.S.S.G), federal criminal defense, municipal, environmental and other regulatory matters. She graduated, summa cum laude, from the University of Bridgeport. Cris earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami and, after graduation, was awarded an Echoing Green Fellowship for her work in creating a legal service and advocacy program for people living with HIV and AIDS
