Alzheimer's Memory Walk

Each year, students in Health in the Later Years and the Health Professionals Association form a walking team with the residents of WindChime of Chico Assisted Living Center to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer's Association. At this writing, the team name is Sustainium Cranium. Health and Community Services students partner with wheelchair bound elders to complete the one-mile walk through Bidwell Park. This year the student team raised $2,182 for the cause and gave local elders companionship and a wonderful memory.
