FALL 2008/SPRING 2009: LANGUAGE ACQUISITION

Review results from the spring 2008 assessment, discuss any needed changes, and create a plan to implement any needed changes. Collect the data needed to conduct an assessment of SLO4.

This outcome states that:

  • SLO4. Students are able to identify the different theories and stages associated with 
                language acquisition.

FALL 2009/SPRING 2010: LANGUAGE STRUCTURE, MEANING, & CHANGE

Review results from the spring 2009 assessment, discuss any needed changes, and create a plan to implement any needed changes. Collect the data needed to conduct an assessment of SLOs 3 & 5.

These outcomes state that:

  • SLO3. Students can discuss various approaches to interpreting meaning.
  • SLO5. Students can identify various factors leading to language change.

FALL 2010/SPRING 2011: EXPERIENCES

Review results from the spring 2010 assessment, discuss any needed changes, and create a plan to implement any needed changes. Collect the data needed to conduct an assessment of SLO6.

This outcome states that:

  • SLO6. Students’ work demonstrates a basic mastery of research techniques that linguists use.
