Student Directed One-Acts

The annual CSU, Chico Donna Stone Breed Memorial Student Directed One-Acts will this year be performed in Rowland-Taylor Recital Hall and split into two different bills.
The first set of one-acts will be staged Friday, April 18 at 7:30 p.m. and repeated Saturday April 19 at 2 p.m.
These dramatic presentations for Bill 1 will include David Ives’ "Long Ago and Far Away” (directed by Janya Cambronero); Shel Silverstein’s "Best Daddy" (directed by James Dugan); and an adaptation of Franz Buchner’s classic, "Woyzeck” (directed by Bret Colombo).
The second set of one-acts will be staged Saturday April 19 at 7:30 p.m. and repeated Sunday, April 20 at 2 p.m.
Works for Bill 2 will include Rich Orloff’s “Playwriting 101” (directed by Tyler Elliott); Alison Weiss’ “Fight Dreams” (directed by Tyler Elliott); Mark O’Donnell’s “There Shall Be No Bottom” (directed by James Dugan); and the Barry Harman/Keith Herrmann musical "Romance, Romance” (directed by Sarah Cuc).
Although these one-acts vary in style, they all showcase student talent.
“These fun and sophisticated works will feature some of the brightest and best talent in the CSU, Chico Theatre Department, including a new group of student directors,” said Susan Hargrave Pate, faculty advisor.
Each performance of the One-Acts has a separate admission.
