Italian Interlude: A ten-day trip with 55 people toured Rome (Vatican City, St. Peter’s Basilica, Sistine Chapel, Colosseum, the Forum) Orvieto (Etruscan stronghold, Romanesque cathedral), Florence (Duomo, Santa Croce, Accademia, Uffizi Gallery), San Gimignano (Tuscan countryside), Siena (Campo, cathedral, vineyard tour), and Venice (canals, Doge’s Palace, St. Mark’s, glass-blowing tour, gondola ride).
