Background and Training
Claudia Beaty has lived in Chico since 1979. She received a Bachelor’s degree from Chico State in December, 1984, and began her campus staff career in 1989, working as a receptionist for the Center for Regional and Continuing Education. She has been serving as the Administrative Support Coordinator for the History department since 1995. Claudia, a perpetual student, is currently enrolled in an interdisciplinary Master’s degree program, focusing on historical research and genealogy. She has one son, (a CSU, Chico History department alumni), one granddaughter (the apple of her eye), and two mischievous dachshunds. In addition to enjoying her family, career and studies, Claudia takes great pleasure in traveling the world.
