Research Interests

Dr. Green's current research focuses upon the history of the Chicano/a movement for legal equality and social justice in the United States. She currently is working on a book about the student organization MEChA (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan) with Isidro Ortiz from San Diego State University.

Publications

Dr. Green’s articles have appeared in scholarly anthologies and in Amerikastudien (American Studies). She also has published dozens of encyclopedia entries, as well as book reviews in Choice and Minnesota History. Her op-ed essays appear regularly in city and regional newspapers and periodicals.

Honors and Awards

In 2002, Dr. Green received a Professional Achievement Honor from California State University, Chico. That same year, she was the recipient from Associated Students at Chico State of the Myles E. Tracey Outstanding Student Organization Faculty Advisor Award. Professor Green also has served as advisor for many undergraduate students who have won awards for academic achievement.
