Research Interests
Professor Smith-Peters's current research focuses on the history of Rock and Roll, including its Blues roots and an emphasis on contemporary artists.
Publications
Professor Smith-Peters is the author of a bi-weekly column on music in "The Buzz," the weekly entertainment section of the Chico Enterprise-Record, and is a freelance writer whose work has been included in the Kentucky Encyclopedia.
Honors and Awards
Professor Smith-Peters received recognition for teaching success in Learning Communities from South Texas Community College in 2004, and was recipient of Outstanding Student Awards from Buffalo State College.
