Honors
in General Education (HGE) offers you the opportunity to work closely
with some of our best professors in small, specially designed general
education courses. These classes provide lively and innovative
experiences designed to fuel your interests.
It
is in this small community of scholars that a true learning partnership
can grow, giving you an opportunity to get to know and work with other
motivated students who will become your friends and faculty who will
become your mentors. You become part of a vital learning community that
comes together in the classroom as well as outside for social and
educational events. The Honors in General Education Program provides
you with a comfortable place to go within the larger university, a home
base that is friendly and supportive.
For
the Honors in General Education program (HGE), you complete a portion
of your general education requirements by enrolling in special honors
sections of general education classes. While in the program, you
benefit from priority registration for all of your classes, and
successful completion of the program is prominently noted on your
diploma and transcripts.
