University Housing and Food Service, CSU, Chico
Campus Accreditation
Colleges and universities are increasingly asked to demonstrate their value and effectiveness. These expectations come from a variety of sources including national and state governments, boards of trustees, accreditation agencies, as well as students and their families. In the University’s Strategic Plan for the Future (PDF), Chico State has committed itself to "strategically manage the resources entrusted to us by the state and the people of California." This strategic management thrust was to be supported by "the installation of formal assessment and performance measurement systems."
On a more modest but no less important scale, each University department has identified the myriad issues and needs in order to support the institution’s endeavors. For University Housing & Food Service, these are codified in the documents identified on this page, below.
As the University prepares for re-accreditation by the Western Association of Schools & Colleges (WASC), each campus department, program and service unit are actively engaged in this vitally important process.
