Residence Hall Opportunities for Leadership and Involvement
Only by living in on-campus housing will students have the opportunity to meet each other and become a member of the residence hall community. Our nationally recognized student groups, The Residence Hall Association, Residence Hall Programming Board (Prime Time Productions), and National Residence Hall Honorary, are just a few of the many options students have to get involved and get connected to campus. Below are some of the programming and leadership opportunities available.
Residence Hall Association (RHA)
The Residence Hall Association serves residents by creating a living and learning experience within University-owned residence halls. The intention of the Residence Hall Association is to promote student intellectual, educational, cultural, physical, and social welfare; design and facilitate programs and informational services to all residents; and provide opportunities for residents to achieve fuller participation in our campus community through leadership growth and development. The Residence Hall Association serves as a representative body and voice between residents and the Associated Students, University Administration, student organizations, residence hall staff, and the Chico community.
Prime Time Productions (PTP)
Prime Time Productions is the major programming organization for University Housing. PTP is comprised of emerging leaders and upper-class students that are chosen through an application/interview process in the spring. This six-member student board handles everything from publicity to sound and lights and the booking of professional entertainers. Since 2007, PTP has been recognized both regionally and nationally for their innovative programs and outstanding board members.
National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH)
The National Residence Hall Honorary is the premiere honorary supported by the leading national organization advocating for the interests and welfare of residence hall students, while also providing opportunities for their personal growth and development. NRHH strives to provide recognition for individuals who have contributed to the advancement of college and university housing. It ensures the advancement of member chapters through resource sharing, programming, and leadership development opportunities to contribute and support the vision of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls, Incorporated.
Peer Conduct Review Board (PCRB)
The Peer Conduct Review Board (PCRB) serves to educate members of the University Housing and Food Services (UHFS) community at California State University, Chico on the skills of community responsibility, responsible freedom, and self-discipline.
