Facts

University Village is the only university–owned apartment complex and a unique housing facility in Chico. The village program is tailored after the residence hall program, while still giving its residents the benefits and feel of an apartment community. The village is a leisurely (just a little less than a mile) bike ride from campus. Free bus service to and from campus is available.  

Because the village is a part of the University Housing and Food Service, students enjoy many of the benefits that our on-campus residents have: Village Council, The Residence Hall Association, programming, community building, a choice of living environments, use of the recreation center, a computer lab, live-in staff, and more!

Please note that all apartments are furnished, and we offer three living environments.

Six Person Clusters

Each cluster houses six residents. There are two single rooms and two double rooms. Residents who live in a six-person cluster share a bathroom with two other residents and the kitchen with five residents. There is also a shared patio/balcony off of each kitchen in the six-person clusters.The kitchen is equipped with 2 refrigerators, stove, and microwave.

Double Studios

Each double studio comes with a bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, range, and microwave. The double studios have a private entrance and a shared patio or balcony with two other residents.

Four Person Clusters

Each cluster is semi–private. Residents who live in a cluster share a bathroom with one other person, kitchen facilities with three others, while having your own private room. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, stove, and microwave.
