Campus Housing Communities
Residence Hall Options
Chico State students have several options for where to live. We have traditional residence halls, theme programs and suite style living. Together, these communities provide housing for about 2,300 students, mostly first-time freshmen and new transfer students.
Advantages of living in residence halls include:
- Leadership opportunities
- Supportive study environment with study lounges
- High Speed Internet access
- Live-in student and professional staff to assist residents
- All-you-care-to-eat meal plans
- On-site laundry facilities
- Free Printing
- Game Room/Lounges with TV
During the year residents develop into a close-knit community—a product of both the community itself and the students who live there. The diversity of living experiences and programs creates opportunities for all residents to participate in their community.
University Village (UV) is a university–owned suite-style community located near campus. 4 room suites with a full kitchen provide students with an independent living opportunity that still includes all of the great advantages that come with living in one of our traditional communities. University Village is a less than a mile walk or bike ride from campus. Free city bus service to and from campus is available. New for 2017-2018 students, there will be a UV Shuttle.
