Mission Statement
Prime Time Productions strives to strengthen and embody the overall mission of University Housing and Food Service community by developing programs that entertain and enrich the educational and social lives of residence hall students. Members are committed to providing a variety of intentional activities in a welcoming environment that upholds the overall department’s commitment to diversity and social justice. Members are given the opportunity to achieve personal growth, develop leadership skills, and build new relationships throughout the academic year.
Purpose
The purpose of this student organization is to provide late-night, weekend entertainment to all students living in University Housing. PTP brings to the residence halls pre-home released blockbuster movies in their “Dinner then a Movies Series,” comedy shows in their “One Night Stand Comedy Series,” mentalists, hypnotists, and speakers. PTP also provides special events/weeks throughout the year, including Welcome Week, Spirit Week, Parents’ Weekend, and Welcome Back Week.
PTP is supported by each resident who lives in the residence halls so all events are free to residence hall students. Remember – you have already paid for the programs so come out to them. PTP is an active member in the National Association for Campus Activities, thus connecting residents to agents, performers, and other participating schools across the nation.
Residents can seek employment in PTP when applications are given out during the late spring semester. Volunteers, known as producers, are welcomed throughout the year to help with all planning and implementation of events.
PTP Program Coordinators
Adrienne Neves - Special Events Coordinator
Hey everyone! My name is Adrienne Neves, and I am the special events coordinator (SEC) for the 2008-2009 academic year! I’ve lived at CSU, Chico for more than a year now and I love it; there's no place I would rather be. Prior to landing here, I used to live on a farm in a very small town outside of Sacramento named Clarksburg; there hectic-ness consumed my life. My days were full of animals, working, school, FFA, and other clubs. I was very big into putting on school activities and being a part of the voice for the students. Nothing has really changed much. My first year at CSU, Chico, I lived at Whitney Hall and it was amazing. The people you meet in the halls are great, because that is where I met my best friends. There's always something going on. I'm so excited to be your SEC, and I can't wait to work with you guys! If you see me, don’t be afraid to say hi!
Ali Recio - Diversity Coordinator
Hey! My name is Ali Recio, and I am the diversity coordinator for this year. I have been involved with the CSU, Chico campus through Road Crew, Shasta/Lassen Hall Council, and CAVE. I will be a sophomore in the fall and can't wait to get started working with all of the residents and my PTP team!
Anna Heidecker - Public Relations Coordinator for North Campus and University Village
Hi! My name is Anna Heidecker, and I am one of the public relations coordinators for Prime Time Productions. I have been involved with University Housing and Food Service since my first year in the residence halls. I lived in Lassen Hall freshman year, and then was involved in O-Team for the two summers following. I’ve also worked in the Whitney Hall dining kitchen as an assistant chef, and have been on PTP since the beginning of my third year here at Chico State. I am currently working towards a major in journalism with an option in public relations, as well as a minor in marketing. I was born and raised in Southern California, but I have really enjoyed my time here at Chico State. I am looking forward to wrapping up my college career in the 2008-2009 school year and am excited to see how PTP develops this year.
Brittany Hopkins - Public Relations Coordinator for Shasta/Lassen Halls and Whitney Hall
Hello! I'm Brittany Hopkins, one of the two public relations coordinators. This is my third year at Chico State working on my journalism degree with an option in PR and minor in marketing. This is my second year as a PTP board member and I also work at the Student Records and Registration office, will be a Summer Orientation leader during the summer, and am a proud member of the social sorority, Alpha Delta Pi. I love making creative advertising for our events and can't wait to see you there!
Tim DuFresne - Technical Coordinator
Hi everyone! My name is Tim DuFresne. This is my third year here at CSU Chico. I am an English education major and a political science minor. This is my second year on PTP. In addition to my work with PTP, I also work with the campus Internet radio station KCSCradio.com as a DJ and the digital music librarian. I handle all of the lighting and sound for the many films and entertainers that we bring to the halls. I hope to see you all there at our programs!
