Residence Hall Opportunities for Leadership and Involvement

Only by living in on-campus housing will students have the opportunity to meet each other and become a member of the residence hall community. Our nationally recognized student groups – The Residence Hall Association, Residence Hall Programming Board, and National Residence Hall Honorary– are just a few of many options students have to get involved and connected to campus. Below are some of the programming and leadership events scheduled for the fall 2008 semester.

Residence Hall Association (RHA)

The RHA is the governing student body that represents all members living in on-campus housing at CSU, Chico. Its primary function is to ensure that students are represented in any decision that may affect their quality of life and education while living in the residence halls.  RHA also provides educational, social, and community service programs for students to be involved in and connected to the community.

Prime Time Productions (PTP)

The purpose of this student organization is to provide late night, weekend entertainment to all students living in University Housing. PTP brings to the residence halls pre-home released blockbuster movies in their “Dinner then a Movies Series,” comedy shows in their “One Night Stand Comedy Series,” mentalists, hypnotists, and speakers. PTP also provides special events/weeks throughout the year, including Welcome Week, Spirit Week, Parents’ Weekend, and Welcome Back Week. PTP is supported by each resident who lives in the residence halls so all events are free to residence hall students.

National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH)

The NRHH is a nationally recognized organization founded to recognize both students and faculty that have made great contributions towards the growth and improvements of the CSU, Chico community. Those students who are selected as members have displayed outstanding service
