Supervisory Development Training (SDT) Certificate Program
(this program is under revision)
The purpose of this program is to provide supervisors with the facts, procedures, principles, laws, and basic skills to make good management decisions. Effective management helps to increase the productivity of departments, enhances job satisfaction, increases employee morale, and minimizes liability and risk for supervisors, as well as for the University.
To earn certification, participants must attend all of the core workshops, most of which will be offered throughout the academic year. Although the certification program could be completed in one to two years, it is anticipated that most supervisors will fulfill the requirements within three years.
