ICOA strives to provide opportunities for effective collaboration between agencies serving older adults and their families in North California.

Community Action Volunteers in Education (CAVE)

  • Adopted Grandparent Program
  Volunteers participate in personal visits with a "grandparent" matched by both of their personal interests.
  • Senior Circle Program
  A group of students meets with a group of older adults in assisted living facilities in Chico and participate in various activities together.

The Country Village

For 25 years, The Country Village has lovingly cared for seniors in the Chico community by providing smaller, more personal Assisted Living and Dementia and Alzheimer's Care facilities, as well as an Adult Memory Loss Day Program. Gentle, thorough daily care, innovative activities and celebrations of everyday life create an inviting, home-like atmosphere. They enhance the lives of their residents by giving them choice, dignity, privacy and respect. The Country Village offers the comfort and security they need to function at their highest capacity and enjoy optimum quality of life while providing peace of mind for family members.

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI)

OLLI is a peer-led, learning in retirement organization that offers a wide variety of non-credit classes and activities for adults, age 60+ or retired.


Provides information and assistance services to older adults and family caregivers. By providing older adults and caregivers a single information and assistance resource, Passages makes it easy to provide expert information and connections to critical services that older adults and caregivers need.

Peg Taylor Center

An adult day health center for older adults and adults with disabilities.
